ULTIMATE HIGH operates a fleet of ex-military and aerobatic aircraft, flown by ex-Red Arrows and military combat trained instructors.  Our 'Top Gun' day gives you the chance to be part of an air combat team and actually fly missions!  With an instructor you'll experience extreme aerobatics, close formation flying and 'Top Gun' style tailchasing - then take the controls to do it all yourself!

Based at the former home of the Red Arrows, and operated as part of our advanced flying training school, we bring a totally new level of military style organisation, excitement and professionalism to aviation experiences.

birthday present UK

For your birthday present in the UK, your ex-military instructors will demonstrate a formation take-off and close formation manoeuvering before teaching you how to fly aerobatics yourself. After you have flown some aerobatic manoeuvres, you will be introduced to tailchasing - the sport of kings!

Overview
Flights are in the Bulldog ("Top Gun") or Extra300 ("Ultimate Top Gun"), and are 40 minutes long.
Ground Briefing is approx 45 minutes, includes all safety/parachute procedures, and how to fly aerobatics and air combat (yourself!)
Flights are tailored to you; the trip is as wild, or mild, as you choose! If there are any particularly manoeuvres you would like to try, please let us know!
A 20% discount is offered if two people book as a "pair" (shooting down a friend/colleague is even more fun!).
Flights take place most Fridays and Saturdays, March-November inclusive. Additional days are available if you book as a pair.
You should expect to be with us for 3-4 hours.
Price differentials between the Top Gun and Ultimate Top Gun experience reflect the different operating costs (& excitement levels!) of the two aircraft.
Profile of your Day
Welcome and kit out into flying suits and military bone-domes. You choose your call-sign name badge ("Maverick", "Iceman" etc) for the day.
Pre-flight group briefing (2-4 people) - including safety/parachute brief, how to fly the aircraft, aerobatics and introduction to tailchasing manoeuvres.
Students are matched into Top Gun "pairs".
Each pair receives a personal sortie pre-brief with your ex-military instructor pilot.
Strap on parachute. Cockpit Controls and Safety Brief at aircraft.
Flight: includes instructor demonstration and student practice for each manoeuvre (see descriptions below).
Exit aircraft and "pair" debrief with your instructors, including no. g pulled, review of tailchase results and signed flight certificate.
